Helloooooo There!

Welcome back to Schwally Online, thanks for joining me! It has been almost 200 days since I was last active on this page, so I figured I owe you all some kind of an explanation. This post won’t be nearly as exciting as my last one (10 scenes that make me sob uncontrollably), but there will be some general life updates if you ARE interested. If not, see you next week… I guess.

Anywhoooooo

When I started this blog back in February, I had a plan. I was going to build out this blog every week, have certain themes I wanted to hit, and was super excited about writing… and then reality hit me and I made the re-realization that I was still a Masters student still and didn’t have enough time for myself to actually write my blog. My own fault, I shouldn’t have put so much on my plate; when I had to set some priorities for myself, unfortunately this blog did not become one of them. 

With that said,

Since the last post, I did actually finish my Masters Degree over the summer, so school is no longer something that will take my time over this blog! Yippee!! Masters of Science in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona! YAY! (Life Update #1)

But wait, there’s so much more (I think, it’s like 5 AM when I am writing this, and honestly the last few months of my life have been devoted to school).

Okay, actually going back to the Masters, part of my project was to make my very 3D printed telescope, and it WORKS! Here are some pictures of the telescope and what the moon looks like through the scope. (Life Update #2?)

Besides the Masters, I have actually two fairly large updates (Life Updates #3 and #4). I got a full-time job and moved for it! I am now (as of July 29th) working for the 412th Test Wing at Edwards Air Force Base in California. And because of that, I have moved out to Lancaster, CA (the “Antelope Valley”)! Still making adjustments to living here, but yeah so far it’s going well! And that’s all that I can and will say about that!

I celebrated my 23rd birthday in Tucson last month with all my Tucson friends right before I moved out. I miss you all. I also miss my friends back in Scottsdale and the rest of AZ. I wasn’t back nearly long enough for me to see all of you! But yeah I miss all of you my friends back everywhere who aren’t out here in the AV with me. Miss hanging out with y’all, practicing mixology, watching Doctor Who, playing nerdy games, going to nerdy bars and trivia, and so much more! But, I know we won’t lose touch, you have my number hehe. 🙂

When I first realized I needed to write this post, I thought that I would need a lot of space to write a lot, but honestly that’s kind of all I got. The last few months have pretty much been devoted to school and moving. 

Oh, but to answer the question from the last post, no. I believe that a hot dog is NOT a sandwich. The bun is not two distinct pieces of bread, whereas a typical sandwich is. What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
